Dear friends...

I'm not going to be around DA much anymore. There's just too much content that I find unacceptable. Bluntly put, in my opinion, they've crossed the line between art and porn. A lot.

I'll probably drop in occasionally, but don't plan to be around a whole lot.

Not real new, been around a couple of years. Just haven't posted too much. I tend to suffer from "perfectionitis", a terrible affliction where you don't get much of anything done because you're paralyzed by the fear that it won't come out perfect. le Sigh.

I'm trying real hard to get well however. :fear:

My jaw hit the floor when I saw you were 14... I started cartooning late. Hobby I'd love to grow into a career if I could get good enough. I think I've got good gags for strips, but my art needs to catch up. Time is my enemy...

If you get an urge to do so, I'd love to see your take on Claire (Dragonfly). She's a redhead, I just need to get off my butt and try something in color. :shudder:

thank you very much,i hope you get better from your perfectionitis im also in a bit of a slump now, although i use it to make myself better at drawing, i dread blocks like these but in the end they do help. i would absolutely love to draw claire if you would just send me a link of what she looks like colored id be more than happy to do that for you :)

Ah, there's the rub; she's never been colored. This is a boon, since there's no preconceived notion of what she looks like colored, with the exception of having red hair.

She's a very bright, bubbly personality most of the time, so I've always rather pictured her wearing bright colors.
